..............MADE BY MONKEYS "I THINK OF YOU"..............

MADE BY MONKEYS "I THINK OF YOU" Mixes by MADE BY MONKEYS, RUI DA SILVA, DJ PAULO, PABLO CEBALLOS, GABRIEL ROBELLA, TIMOTHY ALLAN AND MORE!!

Made By Monkeys - I Think oF You

Made by Monkeys are back after their Billboard chart topping single “I Try” with an even hotter new song called “I Think Of You” released on NYC’s super hot KULT Records label. This song is guaranteed to stay at the top of your IPOD’s playlist. This yet to be released single is causing quite a stir on both sides of the Atlantic. “I Think of You” is creating a worldwide buzz because of mixes by new Ibiza resident Rui Da Silva, Miami’s own Mega Star Oscar G, Iberican Superstar Pablo Ceballos L.A. based Top Producer DJ Paulo as well many more incredible producers such as KULT’s rising Star Gabriel Robella whose mix was released as exclusive pre-release on Eddie Cumana’s best seller compilation entitled KULTFLIGHT 001 and to date is the biggest seller as a single download charting on Beatport for months! The label has now just released another teaser mix in their WMC KULT Party sampler which was the soundtrack to the WMC KULT Records label party to be held at NOCTURNAL nightclub with superstars DJ Vibe, Carlos Fauvrelle, The Scumfrog, Eddie Cumana, Stephane K, Cevin Fisher, Carlos Manaca, Gabriel Robella, Amador, Ivano Bellini, Giangi Cappai, and more! The mix available on the WMC is the Salvatore Mix, which is the mix that Oscar G loved at first play and re-remixed to perfection. In addition, Oscar G used his mix as the opening song on his Live@Space double CD/DVD that will be released May 16th. A live clip taken fromshooting Live@Space & posted on Youtube and got “I Think of You”a lot of attention. So much so that Oscar G says we won’t believe how many people write him to ask for the song ID. We believe it because we have experienced the same kind of positive signs; Ceballos & Dj Paulo turned incredible mixes for pure love of the vocal; John Digweed has been banging The Rui Da Silva Mix all over the Radio; Made by Monkeys was able to debut the first live performance of "I Think Of You" at the prestigious Black and Blue Festival.(How many songs get to debut at the festival while yet unreleased? Not that many!)Perhaps this is just a sign of things to come for Made by Monkeys. Everything they touch turns to gold and this song is no exception!

We tracked them down while they were swinging high on a tree and forced them to give us an interview;

You're current single is signed to NYC's top label KULT Records, who are ready to unleash a new Made By Monkeys finally! How come so many years from your first single I TRY to this fabulous follow up I THINK OF YOU?

Monkey business: Shortly after the release of “I Try”, we saw a plastic bag from Economy Candy blowing in the wind. We followed that bag across 20 countries and 4 continents. Along the way, we wrote some songs and one of those is “I Think of You”.

Serious business
We had been busy working on many other productions with various artists in different genres.

We heard that even before the song was even on promo Oscar G offered to do a mix and used it as the opening track for LIVE AT SPACE which is a new and forthcoming Compilation. Congrats...how does that make you feel?

Monkey business: We have huge respect for Oscar G, especially since our habitat for some time was Miami. The best way to describe the feeling is to picture a tiger jumping through a ring of fire and landing on a multi-million dollar yacht.

Serious business :Oscar G is a fantastic producer and DJ. It is an honour to have him remix our track and to be on the Live at Space CD/DVD. I have been a fan of his since way back when(Love Parade). I asked my friend DJ Salvatore to do a remix of "I Think of You". He did a great remix and sent it to Oscar G for his opinion. I was completely unaware, until I contacted OG to ask him if he had heard our new track. He replied that he loved it, and was playing Dj Salvatore's remix it in the clubs. Then I asked him if he would like to do a remix. He said he had some ideas on re-working/remixing Salvatore's mix, so he did.

Who else is doing remixes of this sure hit? And which is your favorite?

Monkey business: It's hard to pick a favorite but we really like Salavatore and Oscar G's mixes. Science vs Nature’s mix is cool too. A chiptune remix was done by a Manbearpig. Unfortunately it will not be released.
Serious business: There are so many great DJs and producers doing remixes, Rui da Sliva, DJ Paulo, Stephane Grondin and Gabriel Robella to name a few. Of course, I really like our original song and remix. Oscar G and Salvatore’s remixes are excellent.

Without a commercial release you already got to perform the single I THINK OF YOU at the Black and blue; How was to debut the track in front of so many people?

It was great! We have great respect for the Black and Blue festival. They give financial support to groups providing direct care to people living with HIV/AIDS. The organizers are fantastic and really do a great job. It was really fun to perform and be a part of such a great festival. We have always supported, and have been supported by the gay community.

Why the name made by Monkeys?

Monkey business: When people ask the question, "who made that track", the response is "It was made by monkeys".Monkeys and the human race, are all made by monkeys.
Serious business: There are so many reasons; most importantly we are monkeys that were sent to outer space. We like the idea that when people ask, "who made that track", the response is "It was made by monkeys"

Who does what in the Studio? And what do you do live to make it work?

Monkey Business: Under federal law, we are banned from answering that question. What we can tell you is that the process involves power tools and obsolete technologies. In regards to our live show, we put cocaine in our steroids.

Serious Business: Astrochimp does all the drums and mixing, and M. Keys all the keyboards and synths. Our shows are a reflection of our music-making process, highly improvised and out of control. A couple of monkeys let loose on drum machines, samplers and synths. The audience can expect to lose their minds.

Anything interesting in the making of the record you'd like to share with us?

Final Business: No animals were harmed during the recording of this single, unless you're one of those weirdos that considers humans to be animals.

The Full Maxi Single of I THINK OF YOU with the original mixes and all the hot unreleased Remixes will be available MAY 5TH 2009 on exclusive pre-release only on BEATPORT and 3 weeks after on all major online retailers including Itunes, Emusic, Masterbeat and 200 other stores!
